The witch ran at you with her claw-like hands reaching for your throat. You reached for anything to protect yourself. Finally, your fingers wrapped around something cold and metallic. At the last moment, you pulled the object in front of you, as the witch tackled you to the ground. You screamed as you both fell. The evil woman landed on top of you, and your back hit the hard floor. You frantically shoved her off. As she rolled over, you realized the object you had picked up had been a letter opener.
You got up and moved away, worriedly calling, "D-Doctor!" Your hands fluttered over the old hag's body as the Doctor came running in. "____! What happened?!", the Doctor rushed over to you both. Seeing that you were fine, he turned to the witch. He quickly scanned her wound with his sonic screwdriver, telling you to back up. As he did this, you stammered out explanations of what happened, "I-it was an accident! I didn't know! I-I didn't mean to!" The Doctor quickly turned to you and grabbed your shoulders. He said, "I know. I know you didn't, but this woman needs medical attention. What I need from you is for you to calm down. Can you do that, ____?" Your eyes flickered between the Doctor and the old woman on the floor. He shook you slightly, and repeated a bit more loudly, "Can you do that?" With wide eyes, you nodded quickly.
The Doctor released you and went back to work on the dying witch. Before he could, the hag gasped and sat up. You both scrambled away, the Doctor pushing you behind him. She held herself up by one arm, and the other grasped the metal object protruding from her stomach. With a tortured yell, she pulled out the blade. The Doctor warned too late, "Don't do that!"
The woman looked back at the both of you with a snarl. Her blood started to pool, and what scared you, was that it looked black. Your hand clenched the Doctor's coat in fear. Then the witch began to speak, "You think this will stop me?! I will persist until my last breath!" She threw her head back, and seemed to speak to something else, "I call upon my alliances in the darkness! Finish what I have worked so hard to complete! Do not let anyone stand in your way!" The Doctor had started yelling at her to stop what she was doing. "I can help you! I can help you, but you have to stop this!" She looked down at the both of you again. Her pupils had become red, and the rest of her eyes were black. You gasped, and she glared. She finished her speech as she stared you down, "Feast on the humans." You tried to move farther away, but she said to you, "Don't leave yet, self-righteous girl. I have something in mind for you..." You tensed in anticipation, waiting for certain death. She surprised you as she chanted,

"I curse you now, with all my power.
Wretched girl, who was my doom.
No room for error in this midnight hour.
With my last breath I lay this curse on you!"

"Forevermore, if you walk through that door,
Encased in ice, your life will be.
Unless you learn to control it,
Everything you touch,
Will be Frozen!"

The Doctor growled in frustration. He leaped up and ran out of the room, hardly paying attention to the dying witch, or her chants. You knew you had to follow. The Doctor would need your help with whatever the witch had summoned. You could hear people start to yell and scream from outside. You knew they were in danger.
You turned your head when you reached the door frame. You looked at the woman lying on the floor. She gave you the darkest glare, full of hatred, but it also had a smugness to it. It made you uneasy and your stomach twisted. She finally slumped to the ground and gave her last breath. Your eyes widened and you ran away from the room with the terrible scene.
You expected something to happen as you ran through the door, but nothing did. You could only hope that whatever she had done, had died with her.

You were back in the TARDIS. The Doctor had of course solved the problem, with a bit of your help. You didn't get away without a few bumps and scratches though.
You were off to a new location and/or time, but your mind was still back in that room. With that witch, and her curse.
"Do you believe in all that? Curses, I mean. Do you think she really cursed me?", you looked at the Doctor from your seat in the TARDIS. He rushed around the control panel pulling levers and pushing buttons. He looked up briefly and said, "No! Of course not! There isn't any evidence to prove that would actually work. Trust me ____. It was just the ramblings of a dying woman." You nodded tersely, but for some reason didn't believe the Doctor's word. You resumed staring at your fiddling fingers.
You hopped off the seat and started to pace. You needed to get some nervous energy out of your system. You walked for only a few moments, when an intense pain exploded from your chest. You collapsed to the ground, one knee barely holding you up. Your hands flew to your chest, grasping at your heart. The Doctor was immediately at your side. He asked with obvious worry, "____? Are you alright?! What's wrong?!" You could barely speak. The pain was excruciating and cold. You managed, "C-Cold. S-So cold, Doctor."
"Here. We should get you somewhere warm, then.", the Doctor reached out to help you up, but retracted, after his hand touched your skin. "Ah! Your freezing!" The Doctor grasped his hand to warm it. Frost touching the tips.
You had stopped moving. You couldn't feel anything but pain and cold. The Doctor noticed this, and took off his coat. He wrapped it around you, and picked you up, careful not to touch your skin. You could hear your teeth chatter, as the Doctor rushed through the TARDIS' halls.
Finally, you reached your room. The Doctor laid you down gently, and covered you with as many blankets he could. After you were thoroughly bundled, he asked, "Do you feel any warmer?" Since you couldn't speak any more, you just shook your head.
The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver and scanned you over. You blinked at what might have been snowflakes on your eyelashes. The Doctor looked at his screwdriver and told you incredulously, "How is this possible?! With your temperature, you should be dead! A human couldn't stand such cold... How...?" He stared at you, intrigued. You gave him a /not helping/ look, and he snapped out of it.
He shifted on the bed and wrapped his arms around you. You tensed, thinking he would pull away at the cold, but realized that with all the blankets, there was no skin exposed. You relaxed into his warm body.

After a while, you started to feel better. You could move, and the painful cold seemed to have left. You shifted slightly and the Doctor released you from his warm embrace. You extracted yourself from the blankets and he scanned you again. "Hmm... Back to normal...", the Doctor persisted to stare at you like you were a parrot with a dog's tail. "Isn't that a good thing Doctor?", you questioned, looking pointedly into his eyes. He refocused and replied, "Well yes. Technically, it's a good thing. Not being dead is definitely a good thing. But without knowing what happened to you, I can't guarantee it won't happen again." You nodded, understanding. "Then I promise I will be on my guard." You gave him a reassuring smile. It didn't look like he believed you, but he went with it anyway.
The Doctor stood and put out his hand to help you off your bed. You attempted to get up and take his hand, but your foot got caught in one of the blankets and you started to fall. Your reflexes made your hands shoot out to break your fall. One hand caught the top of a chair, and you stumbled, but managed to stay up. You straightened and sheepishly looked at the Doctor, embarrassed that you had fallen. When you saw his face, you noticed he was staring at your hand. The one that had grabbed the chair. You looked down at it.
Frost and ice spread from your hand onto the chair. It creeped toward the bottom. Slowly crystallizing it. You released your hold on the chair immediately. You stared at your hands, then the Doctor. He looked shocked and a bit confused. You breaths started to shorten. You knew he had know idea what was happening to you. And if he didn't know, you had a very good reason to worry.
The Doctor saw that you were starting to hyperventilate, and reached out to comfort you. You jumped back, screaming, "No!" He pulled back, but only slightly. He put his hands out with his palms facing you, trying to calm you down. He told you, "Calm down. Calm down, ____." "No! Stay away from me!", you shouted back, getting more frightened, pulling your arms tightly to your chest. The Time Lord took a step back, and you continued to shout at him, "Just leave! Leave me alone!" The Doctor calmly replied, "____. I promise you, we will figure this out. You're going to be okay." You shook your head fiercely and whispered, "Please just go..." You fell back onto your bed, and tears started to silently slide down your cheeks. You didn't notice the Doctor leave.

The Doctor ran into the TARDIS control room and up to the panels. He did everything he could think of to find out what was wrong with ____, but every time, it would show up blank. He slammed his fist onto the controls in frustration. His hand slid down his face, then ran through his hair, trying desperately to find something- anything- to help her.

You wanted to wallow in self pity for hours, but your mind wouldn't let you. You had to figure out what had happened to you. Then you could find out how to fix it. You sat up and wiped the tear streaks from your face. When you remembered that you apparently freeze things now, you wrenched your hands back. Thankfully, your face wasn't frozen.
You began to figure things out. How this happened: Obviously the answer was, the Witch's Curse. It was all you could think of, even if it was dubious. You moved on: How can you fix it? You didn't know the answer to that one, but remembered something the witch said; 'Unless you learn to control it, everything in your life will be frozen!' That would be a temporary fix, but you didn't want to be a walking Popsicle for the rest of your life. That thought led to others. Many along the lines of: How long would this last?- Witch said 'Forever...', How intense could this curse get?- Not sure, Would the Doctor send you home?- You didn't want to face this alone, and hopped he wouldn't. Finally, you thought, 'What if I freeze myself?!'
This called for an experiment. After touching different things in your room, including yourself, you found that you were not affected by the ice. Other things, however, were not as lucky. If you weren't careful, ice could spread from any part of your body, even your feet. Most of the time that didn't seem to happen, and the ice seemed to center on your hands, but you still wanted to be cautious.
You were staring at your hands and spread your fingers out. Suddenly, ice shot from the tips and crystallized an upper corner of your room. You balled up your hands and stuffed them in the blankets. This became your greatest accidental discovery. You learned that sometimes cloth could stop the ice, if you didn't think about it much or get overwhelmed by emotions.
After this discovery, you jumped up and ran to the TARDIS' never ending closet. You were careful not to touch anything with your bare skin, and searched for what you were looking for. Finally you found them. You pulled out of a drawer a pair of gloves. They were (f/c) and made of a soft fabric. They fit perfectly and you slid them carefully onto your hands. You smiled at them, thinking maybe you could just hide this curse. Then you heard the Doctor calling for you. You closed the drawer, happy to see it didn't freeze.
You quickly exited the large closet and closed the door softly behind you. The small sound attracted the Doctor's attention and a look of relief flashed across his face as he saw you. He briskly walked up to you. Your back was against the door still, and you pressed yourself farther into it so that you wouldn't accidentally expel any ice. The Doctor seemed not to care and stood very close to you. He looked you over as he said, "I was looking for you. I just wanted to check on how you were doing..." He trailed off as his eyes found your hands. You could see the obvious question they asked and tentatively raised your hands for him to see. You softly told him, "Sometimes cloth stops the ice.", looking away and feeling ashamed of your curse. The Doctor grabbed one of your hands, and you whipped your head around quickly to see that he was unharmed and un-iced. A sigh of relief escaped your mouth.
He traced his thumb over the back of your hand with what seemed like remorse. You watched him quizzically for a few moments as he stared at your hand. Before you could form a question, he dropped your hand and said almost cheerily, "That's fantastic discovery ____! How about we go somewhere nice and new! We can get all of this...", he gestured as if to include not just your surroundings, but also the past events. After an awkward pause he continued, "...Out of our heads for a while. What'dya say?" He smiled expectantly at you, but you saw worry fill his eyes. For his sake, you decided to hide your own worry and pain and said, "Of course Doctor! Where to next?"
Soooo.... Thought I would jump on the bandwagon and do something Frozen related. I am slightly embarrassed about this, but oh well...

Obviously the inspiration came from Frozen, but it came from a specific scene. Which is what I shall enlighten you on.
In the movie, the troll asked the parents if Elsa was born with her powers or cursed. They said she was born with them. This made me wonder if it would be different if she was cursed with them. Then an idea was born and this tale was spun!

So yeah, now you are going to sit in denial and not try to learn to control your powers, much like Elsa did. Not sure if this is a running story or what, but I do hope someone enjoys it!

Toodle-oo!! Okay, I am never saying that again. Good bye! ~Alex :)
